About Us

This organization was founded in 1996 by the late Dr.A.K Mwongo, who until his demise was the organizations founded father and chairman. On its inception, it was known as Neemken Kenya, mainly dealing with tree nurseries with community farmer groups. Besides that, it promoted cultivation of various trees known for medicinal values and training farmers of various methods of collection of plants used in making medicinal extracts.

Over the years, the then little known organization rebranded to Kenya Neem Foundation to contain a myriad of farming activities medicinal parts of trees, processing of herbal extracts etc} and this was to be the milestone of its upward progress. The organizations founder, not only developed great interest into treating local with the herbs, but also found it challenging to include other medicinal herbs to officially set-up what was officially to be the first herbal clinic that over the years turned out to be well established network of modern clinical outlets fully equipped with modern laboratory and physiotherapy units across East Africa.
